It's kind of hard to become a vampire as a teenager and then being told you look "cute" to the end of your days

What was a specific moment you looked at your boys and thought...why do I do this to myself?

When we all sat together as they dined and decided to assail each other with the remaining foods. It would only take a minute for them all needing to take a bath. Often I felt much for simply tossing them all into the Canal Grande and get it over with. But not all of them could swim, so that was not a reasonable approach. So they all needed to take baths, all loitering and procrastinating so not having to go to bed. At this point the very young ones were fully awake again and all wanted their own bedtime story. When this happened at nights where I wished to visit Akasha and Enkil, it was assured that was not going to happen that night.

Sunburned to the bones after merely surviving solar radiation and it's obviously not one of his usual handsome good looking states that would allow him to hunt for blood more subtly... No time for politeness this time, sorry mortals🤷

NOTES:

The backpack: probably was a gift from Jennifer, she likes to give practical presents.

The book: it's wrapped in a newspaper protecting both: the book - from being damaged and Robbie - from being asked if "The Dictionary of Foreign Words and Phrases" really is his favorite lecture (very useful thing actually, especially when you're a 16 y.o. trying to understand a bunch of old sophisticated assholes group of guys being three times as old as you at the very least)

The time: it's 1996, first year of Robbie being a vampire. You can tell by the fact he's embarassed to tell Jerr something that he thinks sounds weird. He'll soon learn there's close to nothing that may truly surprise his vampire-brother.

The games: I gave Robbie my own favorite games and puzzles from the 90's - best things before smartphones and so much fun to draw🥰 (My "Rubic'c Magic" even had a picture of a cat on each side of it and my cousin had one with Spider Man pictures. I can't even find anything like that in the internet now)

The gameboy Robert is holding looks like the one that my younger cousin had. Never until now did I knew it was actually a "Brick Game" and not the original "Game Boy" (which was certainly too expensive or not even avaliable in my country at that time).

Looks a bit weird because vampires don't cast shadows. So I only gave shadow of a book and pillow and the backpack to prove that I didn't forget about it. Those are vampires - so the shadow is just not there and there's nothing I can do about it😑
